This is a full-time role working 43.5 hours per week, excluding meal breaks:
- Monday to Thursday, 21.30pm–06.00am | Friday 21.30pm – 07.00am
We are also offering a 4 day, 2 week rotating shift, working 46 hours per week, excluding meal breaks:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday 19.00pm – 06.30am
- Week 2: Tuesday to Friday 19.00pm – 06.30am
Salary: £16.50 - £21.00 per hour dependant on experience plus a shift allowance of £30 per night with an OTE of up to £54K per year

What are we looking for:
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a practical approach to problem-solving and understands the importance of keeping commercial vehicles safe and on the road.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience as a time-served HGV Technician.
- A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
- Hands-on experience working with HGVs.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- A positive attitude, a good eye for detail and a commitment to working safely.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
DAF experience would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. We value the skills you bring and are committed to helping you develop through our manufacturer training and ongoing learning opportunities.
What will you be doing?
Working in our modern, fully equipped DAF workshop, you’ll play an important role in keeping our customers’ vehicles safe, reliable and roadworthy.
Using your own tools alongside the specialist equipment we provide, you’ll carry out a varied range of maintenance, diagnostic and repair work, including:
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Servicing, adjusting and maintaining HGVs and their components.
- Completing safety inspections and routine maintenance.
- Working to DAF standards and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
No two days need to be the same. You’ll have the opportunity to put your technical skills to use, tackle different challenges and continue developing your expertise as part of a supportive workshop team.
