Motus Commercials in Avonmouth is on the lookout for a dedicated Service Business Development Executive, you will join our friendly team in the South West REGION regions service department.
Hours Monday to Friday 08.00am - 17.30pm
Salary from £43,000 pa
OTE: Commission base role resulting in the £60,000 OTE figure

As a Business Development Executive at Motus Commercials in the South West we will be looking for you to be able to demonstrate:

• DAF Product experience
• Knowledge of Kerridge systems
Job Purpose
To work closely with the regional departmental managers and OSS personnel to identify and develop every business opportunity across all depots and departments on the region.
To communicate with all stakeholders and disseminate all customer opportunities and threats.
To pursue new business opportunities in our market area, to actively look for new business and new customers, including identifying future opportunities that can be developed by the regional managers.
To feedback and follow up new sales, parts and service opportunities to the relevant Regional Heads of Business.
To liaise with manufacturers and suppliers and adhere to all policies and procedures at all times.
Job Dimension
To deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner, on a daily basis whilst managing time and travel effectively. Maximising profit opportunities for the business through building effective relationships, working closely with the manufacturers teams when required.
To support all new product and system initiatives from both the Company and its manufacturer partner.
To ensure we are providing our existing and any future customers with the level of service and support that is required to maintain and develop growth opportunities and where there are any identified shortfalls or weakness, pass this to your line manager with proposals or initiatives to address the weaknesses.
To build positive and constructive working relationships with all the departmental managers and DAF counterparts in order to identify and convert leads with all Key customers.
Key Accountabilities
To work with the Company and Manufacturer parts teams to ensure:
- Drive workshop volumes across the region
- New business prospects are identified, developed and managed to the customer’s, Company’s and Manufacturers expectations
- Responsible for new and renewal service/R&M contracts, both Motus and Paccar
- Customer service levels are achieved in line with expectations, providing regular feedback and support to all interested stakeholders
- Responsibility for certain DAF KPI’s as communicated annually
- To take responsibility for generating your own leads, producing sales and spend reports for management and manufacturers to ensure all parties are informed of potential, new and existing customers.
- To chair quarterly business development meetings across the region
